Dr. Justin Dustzadeh is a senior executive with global experience in technology & management roles across software, networking, mobile, cloud, IT industries. He is known for his passion and ability to bring new technologies to market with rapid execution from vision to results. Justin has been a key figure in the software-defined networking (SDN) ecosystem and has served in executive roles at several industry organizations.
Justin is currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Global Infrastructure Network Services at Visa, overseeing network architecture, engineering, and operations (including security operations), and leading the strategic development of the company’s global networks, with a strong focus on SDN and virtualization.
Most recently, Dr. Dustzadeh served as the CTO & VP of Technology Strategy, Networks at Huawei where he drove technology innovation and next-generation product architectures for the company’s $8B carrier and cloud networking business, including the technology direction for software-defined networking and network functions virtualization (NFV).
Justin’s prior experience includes senior roles at Ericsson, AT&T, a video analytics technology startup, and two leading service providers in France.
His background includes driving next-generation design and development of some of the industry’s most scalable and highly-available infrastructure networks and systems, involving very large-scale platforms for big data, real-time transaction processing, web/enterprise applications, data management and billing.
Justin is a sought-after keynote speaker and an industry-recognized thought leader on SDN, NFV and next-generation networking & cloud technologies. He has been advising startups and the investment community (venture, private equity, mutual/hedge funds) on technology and market opportunities.
Justin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has graduated from two top schools in France.
