Shaul obtained B.SC, M.SC and Ph.D. degrees at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and carried out his postdoctoral training at UC Berkeley. On 1999 Shaul joined the Department of Molecular Biology and Ecology of Plants at Tel Aviv University. Shaul is currently a Full Professor and from July 2013 until August 2016 served as the head of the department. Beside his academic and administrative work at Tel Aviv University Shaul also serves as a Monitoring Editor in Plant Physiology and an Associate Editor in Molecular Plant.
