台北国际会议中心(英语:Taipei International Convention Center,以下简称TICC)在1984年12月27日,行政院核可交通部送审之“兴建台北国际会议中心可行性研究报告”,并于1986年6月兴建,1989年11月完工;同年12月4日,在“第十二届亚洲大洋洲妇产科医学会议”进入此建筑,成为第一个在此处进行的国际会议的同时,也宣告正式启用;最终,1990年1月8日[3],TICC成为台北世界贸易中心四合一建筑范畴。 TICC除了提供工商界租用此建筑进行各类型会议与展览以外,另外也有设置餐厅以及大会堂,是一项多功能的展会建筑,在营运初期虽有遇到亏损之现象,但随着台北世贸四合一建筑的机能与台北101的兴起,TICC也成为众多会议、研讨会、产品发表会之重点举办场地,至今,每年约有八百余项的各类会展,都会在此地进行[1] 。TICC也是国际会议协会(International Congress & Convention Association,简称ICCA)与国际会议中心协会(International Association of Congress Centres,简称AIPC)的会员。
