信息、媒体与社会：2020年意大利第十八届出版研究国际会议

传播误导性或有偏见的信息并不是一种新现象。出于政治动机的力量推动公众误传也不是什么新鲜事。但是，在互联网时代，修辞性歪斜信息的强度、规模和全球流动带来了真正意义上的新挑战。在科学知识领域，对人类生命的未来有着全球性的影响。在社会或文化知识领域，民族和社会的凝聚力岌岌可危。我们正经历着社会生活的分裂和两极分化，部分是媒体驱动的。远离相互信任和共同假设的关于现实可验证性的原则是现有知识结构的基础。

今年的特别关注点是：学术交流在这一“真相”景观中的作用是什么？学者在公共话语中的角色是什么，学者出版制度的责任是什么？有什么特质使这个信息生产领域特别适合作为一种干预机制？如果“主流媒体”和“数字领域”陷入了争夺“真相”景观的战斗中，学者作者、资助者、图书管理员和出版商在建立信任方面能扮演什么角色？他们的系统在评估有效性、随后的可获得性和保证学术作品的公众可发现性方面的作用是什么？
