International Conference on Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology (SPG 2017) will be held from February 26 to 28, 2017 in Sanya, China. This Conference will cover issues on Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology. It dedicates to creating a stage for exchanging the latest research results and sharing the advanced research methods in the fields of Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology.
SPG 2017 is devoted to the advancement of Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology. Sedimentology encompasses the study of modern sediments such as sand, silt, and clay, and the processes that result in their formation (erosion and weathering), transport, deposition and diagenesis. Sedimentologists apply their understanding of modern processes to interpret geologic history through observations of sedimentary rocks and sedimentary structures. Petroleum geology is the study of origin, occurrence, movement, accumulation, and exploration of hydrocarbon fuels (oil and gas). The scope of SPG 2017 covers both technological/practical areas and theoretical investigations of Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology, and the detailed areas of interest for this Conference are listed in the section of "Call for Papers".
SPG 2017 will be an important and reliable platform for inspiring international and interdisciplinary exchange at the forefront of Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology.
