中国光学工程学会,英文名称是Chinese Society for Optical Engineering,缩写CSOE。学会秉承“创新、协同、求真、务实”的精神,将通过学术交流、成果展示、成果转化等多种形式,搭建一个产学研大平台,推动光学工程的技术创新、注重光学科技的成果转化、面向应用促进光学前沿的工程化。

太赫兹(THz)科学技术作为一门交叉学科一经提出便受到了广泛关注。其对国民经济发展将起着重要的推动作用,在国家安全、反恐方面的应用有着独特的优势,是新一代产业的基础。近年来,太赫兹科学与技术研究得到了巨大的发展, 除了传统的太赫兹辐射源、太赫兹探测、太赫兹光谱与太赫兹成像研究以外,太赫兹遥感、太赫兹雷达、太赫兹通信、太赫兹计量、太赫兹无损检测以及太赫兹技术在材料表征、环境监测、石油化工、航空航天、生物医学、军事国防、国家安全等方面的应用都得到了全面的发展。
在此基础上,本着促进学术交流,推动科技发展的目的,中国光学工程学会、中国宇航学会光电技术专业委员会联合上海理工大学等单位将于2015年6月17-19日苏州共同举办国际太赫兹技术及应用研讨会
