9th biennial conference of the Comparative Education Society of Asia

It is a great pleasure to invite you to the ninth biennial conference of the Comparative Education Society of Asia, to be held in Hangzhou Normal University in Hangzhou, China, from May 16 to May 18, 2014. The theme for this conference is Education, Equality and Social Harmony – Asian Experiences in Comparative Perspective. Participation in this conference will give you the opportunity to listen to our distinguished keynote speakers, to present the results of your own research, and to discuss and network with scholars from all over the world. There will also be opportunities for participants to visit local educational institutions. The beautiful and elegant city of Hangzhou, a former capital city of China (during the Southern Sung Dynasty), boasts a history stretching back over 2,000 years. Hangzhou’s scenic West Lake is registered on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites, and conference participants are urged to take the chance to enjoy the sights of this fascinating and historic city.
