第十届亚太动物，植物和微生物毒素会议

On behalf of the International Society on Toxinology (IST[d1] ), we are pleased to inform you that the 10th IST Asia Pacific Conference on Animal, Plant and Microbial Toxins will be held in Changsha, China on June 14-18,2014. The meeting program will focus on the following topics: Toxin structures and modes of action; Venomics, proteomics and genomics; Bioactive substances from animals, plants and microbes; Drug development; Clinical toxinology and more. The primary goal of this event is to provide a forum for the exchange of current information about new and emerging scientific knowledge in the field of biological natural toxins.

It can also offer a good opportunity to link young and experienced scientists from all over the world with each other to promote collaboration and joint development. And we are glad to tell you that we are also going, in this meeting, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the formation of IST Asia Pacific Section ( IST-AP) (The IST-AP was formed in 1984 and organnized by Prof. P. Gopalakrishnakone etc.. The first inaugural meeting of IST-AP was held in Singapore in 1987, three years after the formation.). We will celebrate this mile stone of toxinology research in Asia and Pacific area. Changsha is the capital city of Hunan province with a history of more than 3,500 years, located in south-central China.

This Meeting also provides an opportunity for you to explore the charming landscapes of Hunan and to know more about Chinese people. The famous Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, just 300 km away from Changsha, was listed into the World Natural Heritage Catalogue by the UNESCO in 1992, and was awarded the title of "World Geological Park" in 2004. Here you can enjoy the mysterious rock peaks and caves in Zhangjiajie. The local organizers of the conference are the College of Life Sciences, Hunan Normal University; Key Laboratory of Tropical Biological Resources of Ministry of Education, Hainan University and the Bio-toxin Committee of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. It is a great honor for us to host the conference and we will do our best for the success of the conference and for the satisfaction of the participants.
